It's the Weekend!!!

Whew!  Hectic week.  I had planned on doing all my Christmas shopping & grocery shopping this past Monday.  Especially since Meijer was having 15% off everything.  But then came the snow & ice; and with that, 2 snow days.  I had 4-6 kids at my house.  And the roads were too icy to go out (a salt truck went into the ditch - ya know that's bad when that happens).

On Wednesday, Jacob had his Christmas concert that night.  Thursday, Ethan has his Christmas party at preschool and Jacob had a cub scout meeting at a nursing home to sing Christmas carols (so, we had to go).  Friday, Sydney & Jacob had their Christmas parties and the school assembly.  And right now, I'm watching the neighbor girl until one of her parents gets out of work.  Busy, busy, busy.

At least Sydney and Jacob got their haircut before the Christmas concert and parties.  Speaking of hair cutting, Alissa Jones of Pick a Paper Designs has a new kit out at a new store!  She is now selling at 9th and Bloom and her new kit is called "A Hairy Tale."

It is so cute.  It comes with lots of cute elements & papers & even journaling stickers.  Here's a couple of layouts I made with fantastic kit:

You can only get this kit at 9th and Bloom - www.ninthandbloom.com
Have fun scrapping with this fun kit!

Wacky Wednesday!

I feel so tired.  Not enough sleep.  Sydney has her Christmas concert last night.  It was soooo nice.  The concert was the 5th-8th grade band, strings & handbells.  It was really nice to see the progression through the grades.  The handbells'  concerts were just lovely!

Speaking of lovely, RK Designs has a lovely new Christmas digiscrap kit out called "Country Christmas."

And she also has a Word Tag set that goes along with this kit:

Here's my layout I did with the kit:

And this is my very first hybrid project!!!  I did try others, but they didn't turn out.

And if you go to her BLOG, she has a coupon for 50% off her products at Designs in Digital only!!!

December 1st already???

Where does the time go???  I can't believe it's December already.  Had a late start today.  I thought I set the alarm, but I guess I didn't (or someone was playing w/the alarm clock).  So, we all overslept & ran around like crazy this morning.  I did get Sydney & Jacob to school on time but Noah was about 15 min late.

I did get my laptop back from the manufacturer to fix it.   I think it worked fine for 1 day & now I'm having the same problems again.  The battery won't charge.  Back to the repair department again.  *sigh*  I am not doing at much computer work on my desktop that I was on my laptop.

But some good news - I did get some photos of our pumpkin picking  scrapped!  I used a new kit by RK Designs called "Pumpkin Patch" and it's soooo cute!!!

Aren't they great????  I love this kit!  You can purchase it at Designs in Digital HERE or at Digital Design Den HERE or at Digital Scrap Ink HERE.  So go pick up this fantastic kit & get those fall photos scrapped!

Happy Cyber Monday Shopping!

And Happy Belated Thanksgiving & Black Friday shopping.  Sorry I haven't been on here in awhile.  I've been really sick.  I got an ear infection and a sinus infection earlier this month.  And for some reason, while I was waiting for my prescriptions to be filled, I pressured the pharmacist into giving me the flu vaccine.  He warned me that it might make me feel worse since my body is already trying to fight these infections.  But I insisted.  I don't know if he was right (probably) or just trying to fight 2 infections, but I felt really horrible for the next couple of weeks.

Good news:  for my birthday, my husband & best friend took me out to Benihana's (Japanese Steakhouse) & to see the musical "Rock of Ages."  The food was excellent & the play was awesome!!!  So loved it.

Thanksgiving was at my brother's house.  Food was great, especially the turkey, gravy, lemonade jello & mashed potatoes (made by me)!

Speaking of Thanksgiving, Designs in Digital has a wonderful Designing Duo collab kit called "Give Thanks" that is perfect for thanksgiving and/or fall photos.

Here's a layout I did with this lovely kit and another for my computer desktop:

I love the elements & papers in this kit.  You can only get it at Designs in Digital.  Link to the kit HERE.  I did the desktop with the template I got for free in their Desktop Challenge.  Here's the link to their monthly challenges forum - DID Challenges.  It's a great site & you earn points for every challenge you do.  And those points add up to coupons!!!!!   Yeah!  Love getting coupons!

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!

Today is my parents' 45th wedding anniversary!!!!  Congratulations.  I've been trying to print out an anniversary card that I made digitally but am having problems with my printer.  :(

Sorry it's been so long since I blogged.  As I mention in my last post, I'm going for IV iron infusion treatments three times a week.  And it's taken a toll on me - I've developed an inflammation of the vein in my right forearm.  There's a red swelling under my skin going up my arm.  It hurts & itches due to the skin being pulled from the swelling & the inflammation.  I've had to put warm compresses on it & be sure to take my aspirin for blood clotting.  So, I've been off the computer for awhile due to this & the fact that I've been out of the house every day for some dr appt.

But since it's so close to Halloween, I'd thought I'll show you some halloween pages I digiscrapped!  Chelle's Creations has a kit out called "All Hallow's Eve,"  available only at ScrapMatters - link HERE

Here's a couple of pages I did with this fun kit:

Aren't they cute!  I love these pages.  I had a lot of fun making them.  ScrapMatters link to Chelle's Creations store is HERE.  So go shopping & get scrapping!

Wacky Wednesday!

Howdy! Howdy!  Howdy!  Can you tell I've been watching Toy Story???  LOL  I am sooo busy this week, I don't know how I'm going to make it.  It's the book fair this week at my older kids' school, so I'm helping out with that.  And my iron IV treatment is changed from once a wk for 6 wks to 3X a wk for 2 wks!!!  And that's this week and next.  And the fall party is this Saturday and I still have to get the kids' costumes for it.  And my FIL is coming to visit this Saturday as well.  And I'm volunteering at my other son's school Friday morning, then rushing to my IV treatment.  And I'm fighting an upper respitory infection.  I need help.

In Scrapping News, Tinks Trinket's has a new digiscrap kit out "Girlie with a Touch of Girlie" at Designs in Digital.  Link HERE  And it's on sale for 30% off!!!

Here's a couple of layouts I did with the kit.  I don't think my pages do the kit justice.  It really is an adorable scrap kit.  I made these layouts for some challenges.  I love the pinks & browns.  I think it's great even for a tomboy like my daughter.

Designs in Digital is a great digi scrap site.  They're got all these new challenges.  And completing challenges means earning points towards a coupon for shopping!!!!  Yes!!!  So excited!

And they're having a Speed Scrap tonight!  Check it out!  I plan on being there!

Saturday is Swim Class Day

Today is swim class for my 3 older kids.  My youngest would love to go but he is too young by the class standards.  Maybe in a year or two????  Sydney loves being on the volleyball team, even though they don't have the best winning streak.  But I guess that's what counts.

Other news, I am a guest on Chelle's Creations CT this month.  She has come out with a new kit called "Get Well Soon" for all those photos we take of our bumps & bruises.  And it's on sale for 20% off!

And if you purchase this kit before October 14, you get the WordArt set free!!!!

I made a 2-page spread about Ethan's 1st trip to the ER:

You can buy the kit at ScrapMatters only.  Link HERE  Don't forget - you get the Word Art free if you buy the kit before Oct 14.  And check out her blog - she has an add-on freebie there!

Manic Monday

Good afternoon everyone!  I hope you all had a good weekend.  I'm fighting a cold & so are my 2 youngest.  Ugh.  I'm feeling better today.  I overdid Thursday.  Took all 4 kids to my daughter's volleyball game & with sitting on the bleachers, I started to feel achy & crampy.  I couldn't stay through the game and had to leave early.  Thank goodness my neighbor across the street has a daughter also on the team; she drove Sydney home after the game.

Today, my 2 older kids are home from school.  School is closed so the staff can attend the funeral of one of the former teachers - Mr. Palmeter.  I pray for comfort for his family.

Just to let you know, Alissa Jones of Pick a Paper Designs has come out with a new kit "Gramercy Park."  Right now, it's only available at Scrapbook Elements HERE  And right now, it's on sale for 25% off!!!

Here's a layout I made with this gorgeous kit:

It truly is a beautiful kit.  LINK to the kit in the store.  Get it while it's on sale!  So, go shopping and get scrapping!
